Phil Spencer announced at yesterday’s GDC keynote that Microsoft will be introducing cross buy functionality for titles available on both the Xbox One and Windows 10 stores. It will be up to developers to utilise this as part of the Xbox Live SDK which is being made available to them.

This is great news for gamers as they are essentially getting more for their money. A feature already in play at Sony but with Microsoft specifically bringing this to consoles & PC it will be interesting to see how developers react. This could be a hit to Steam and signs Microsoft sees them as a bigger competitor in the PC market. Hopefully we will see strong adoption of this and more developers like Future Labs bringing their PC titles over to console.
