Sources at Eurogamer as reported by them initially support claims that upto 55 jobs are to go at Evolution Studios the first party studio behind Driveclub.

“We will be looking to relocate team members throughout the studios, but unfortunately some redundancies will be necessary and in those cases we will assist staff in any way we can,” said Sony in a statement.

Driveclub launched last year after numerous struggles and delays but online faltering services hampered its eventual launch. As a result, the promised PS Plus edition has been delayed indefinitely and led many PlayStation fans to refuse to pay for the full version of the game as a result of promise not delivered.

If you haven’t tried this title we strongly recommend you do and grab that season pass as its incredible value.

Sony said it was preparing the studio for layoffs last week. Evolution is one of Sony’s Worldwide Studios.
