There are more big triple A titles on their way to Playstation Vita according to shahid Kamal Sony computer entertainments business development manager.
In an exclusive interview with Playstation Universe (PSU) Shahid was very optimistic about the handhelds future and defended the indie approach to date,p promising there is more big budget titles on route here’s what he said:
“First thing is, indie games are getting better and better all the time,” said Shahid. “The second thing is there are more top flight titles coming. Football Manager recently came out which is absolutely amazing. It’s the first title as far as I’m aware that allows you to cross save your PC game and continue where you left off on Vita which is something people have dreamt off for a long time with Football Manager.”
“The good news is the numbers are going up. There’s a lot of love for the machine. It is selling. It is doing pretty well I would say, all things considered because the signs last year weren’t good for us, but numbers going up this year which is really good news. With people like SEGA, people like Namco coming to the platform with some of their top flight games that’s a healthy sign as well, and I expect that to continue.”
This is great news for us PSVITA owners and I fully agree with Shahid that indie and PSVITA are a great partnership and in my opinion much more suited platform than the PS4 to experience such titles on.
What is encouraging further for gamers is this continued support of the Vita platform the strong links with Indie developers and the dominance of PS4 which are coming together nicely to provide a first class gaming experience.
With the Football manager, The walking dead season 2, Luftrausers out now and Borderlands soon to join the Playstation Vita amongst others this has to be the best and most promising time to own this little gem of a games console.
